Dr. Fahad A AlHoymany

Senior Advisor and Head of National Center for Digital Certification (NCDC). Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Dr. Fahad started his career as a programmer in 1985 at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), then went on to obtain his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in computer science, in addition to a Master’s of Business Administration. He headed the Internet Services Unit, which was in charge of launching Internet service in Saudi Arabia, later became acting CEO of a midsize telecom company and then head of the National Center for Digital Certification.
Saudi PKI Status
In this presentation, a discussion of the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) project managed by MCIT and the creation of the National Center for Digital Certification will be discussed, giving an overall status update about PKI in Saudi Arabia.
