Sami Ghazali

Sami Ghazali, CEO of the National Digital Certification Agency (Tunisia). He Obtained his Engineering diploma in Computer Science from the University of Tunis, faculty of Science in 1992. Mr. Sami Ghazali participated in 1999 as a deputy director at Y2K national preparations. In October 2003, he headed the monitoring principal outline implementation and computerization programs at the Ministry of Communication Technologies - State Secretariat for Computer Technology, Internet and Open Source Software. He is responsible since September 2007 of the NDCA as the root certification authority trusting the Tunisian digital economy and providing security solutions based on digital certification for networks, intranet and internet services.
Tunisian PKI Experience
This presentation will be covering Legal frame work including E-commerce and Electronic Exchanges Law (August 2000), definition of electronic documents, digital certificates and digital signature, liability of electronic document digitally signed and privacy protection. Mr. Ghazali will introduce NDCA as the root CA for Tunisia, Tunisian PKI Architecture and Role and duties of Certification Service Providers (CSP), Cross-certification agreements with foreign CAs and Licensing of Certificate Service Providers. The presentation will cover some applications on Electronic Commerce E-government E-banking, E-finance Time stamping applications
